Rear passengers are equipped with integrated neck sun visors, a distinctive comfort feature of early 928 interiors.

Power comes from a 4,474 cc water-cooled V8 producing 240 hp and 350 Nm.

The car uses Porsche’s transaxle layout with the engine at the front and the gearbox at the rear. This example is fitted with the dog-leg 5-speed manual gearbox.

It also introduced the Weissach rear axle, designed to improve stability during high-speed cornering.

In 1978, the Porsche 928 became the only sports car ever to win the European Car of the Year award — a title usually reserved for practical family cars.
