993 carrera 2
911 (993) Carrera 2
Interior
The cabin is finished in Marble Grey / Black interior (PJ) and fitted with 8-way electrically adjustable comfort seats.
This example features several Porsche Exclusive elements, including the gearshift knob and handbrake lever in Dark Rootwood, giving the interior a distinctive luxury touch typical of high-end 1990s Porsche configurations.
Additional equipment includes cruise control, Hi-Fi sound system, digital sound package, CD-radio, and a Cabriolet wind deflector.

Engine and Transmission
Power comes from the 3.6-liter air-cooled flat-six (M64/05) producing 272 hp, shared with the 993 Carrera and equipped with Bosch Motronic fuel injection.
The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox, introduced with the 993 generation, offering closer ratios and improved cruising capability compared with the previous 5-speed transmissions.
This example is also equipped with a locking differential and Active Brake Differential (ABD). The ABD system improves traction by automatically braking a spinning rear wheel, helping transfer torque to the wheel with more grip.
The 993 generation also introduced a completely redesigned multi-link rear suspension (“Weissach axle”), significantly improving stability and handling compared with earlier 911 models.

Did you know ?
The 993 generation is the final air-cooled 911. Introduced in 1994, production ended in 1998, when the last 993s rolled off the production line alongside the new water-cooled 996 and Boxster (986) — marking the end of the air-cooled era at Porsche.
